It's been a long time since I created it but I think you'll find stuff like that in the setup area.  Try tapping the f1 key for help, search for screensavers, and you may well find a scrolling text one which you can then modify to your heart's content.

Love your ideas about sarcastic/humorous error messages, Mr. Barry.

Many years ago, somewhere between 1994-1997, we had a computer at work that was dedicated (just meaning it was not one on any of our desks, not one we used every day). It sat on a table by itself kind of out of the way.  One of our warehouse workers was fairly techy and figured out how to make a custom screensaver.  His "target" was our 2nd shift shipping admin who was an airhead poster child.

He made the screen saver say something like:  Warning This Computer will Explode in 30 seconds, Do Not Touch Any Keys

I can't remember exactly what it said, but it worked like a charm. That girl saw that on the screen and flipped out. She starting hollering, making phone calls, reading back carefully to everyone exactly what the screen said.

Thank you. Will have a look at it when I get back home.

On the training course where I first met word-processors we stuck a spare file on all the machines with the title Sex Shop.  There was nothing in the course files even remotely like it, and those who ploughed steadily through the course materials never even noticed it.

But the bright, the attention deficit kids, and the incurably curious all found it eventually.   And opened it...

Inside the single word "PERVERT!" in inch high letters leapt onto the screen.

Later on one of the more computer literate lads fixed it so you had to make at least three attempts before you could close it.

The course organiser, whilst quietly amused, pointed out that some of the 'Ladies' found it offensive.

I replied that if they hadn't looked they wouldn't have found.

Also, in people watching mode, I noticed that the ones I would have called Ladies just smiled, chuckled a bit, and moved on.  The ones who made a fuss were the ones who didn't have that same instinctive 'class'.

I used to get mice in the attic of my cottage, and once a couple found their way downstairs and kept me awake by scratching under the chest-of-drawers.  While I waited for the bait to take effect, I named them Colin and Gloria after a couple of neighbours I was friendly with.  They seemed much less annoying after that.

Love it, Jo!
