We all get caught up in life's rigors. Or unrigors, perhaps routine, maybe ennui.

For extreme cases of ennui perhaps oxygen should be served as an alternative to after-dinner mints.

The vapors?

More a case of extreme boredom, an unwillingness to engage with whatever is going on around you.  A severe case of NFI...  No F***ing Interest.

I'm interested. Usually. Just so I can judge later. Usually.

It's Thanksgiving week in the U.S. I've been cooking and freezing dishes for a month. At least twenty people will somehow squeeze into my house on Thursday. Hopefully I'll have enough chairs.

Didn't it used to be Thanksgiving Day?  Has it grown like Black Friday week?  Or Christmas month?

My son is working on Thanksgiving, so we are doing the feast stuff on Friday which means - another year without me shopping the day after.

We Canadians don't experience the pandemonium caused by black Friday.. the first time I shopped black Friday I spent $150 at Target on a blender and bathroom decor... Then I found out that had I shopped at Walmart and the dollar store I would have saved $100 🤑😱👀

The best buy thus far was a pair of winter hikers on sale for $35 instead of the regular price of $150!

Officially still Thanksgiving Day, Gyppo, but I take off all week to prepare. It's wonderful to get everyone together, but it's a lot of work!

I'm cooking quite a bit because I want the leftovers. I won't be cooking again for days. And days.
