But seriously,it was a wonderful event

It was.  I watched it and have no regrets, no feeling of time wasted.

Apparently I was also at the Queen's Coronation.  Mum and Dad went to London and took me with them.  So I wouldn't toddle off and get lost they carried me in Dad's brown canvas Royal Navy Issue toolbag.

This was a bit like a doctor's bag, with a sturdy handle on each side and they treated it like a carrycot for their 'little man'.  I was as snug as 'a bug in a rug', with the bag mostly zipped up and my head peeping out with a little woolly hat.

I regret that I have no personal recollection of this, but I heard the story so many times over the years that it's imprinted in my brain.

I'm told I waved my little flag with great enthusiasm.

I thought Queen Elizabeth's coronation was in July. How cold is it over there? Do I have the time wrong? Woolen hat?

I looked it up, June. Not July. Still with the hat?

Cooper made several Blunders

I made a few blunders yesterday, myself.

How is everyone today? The big order of plants I placed last January when it was cold and I was excited for spring have arrived. Now it's hot and muggy, and I have 16 plants to get in the ground today before it storms.

I babysat my niece for a schoolyear, so my sister could teach and then have seven years off and keep her certificate because of rules. Jen is five months older than Craig, so for a time, I had two kids under a year old at my house and they were on very different schedules.

I was desperately hoping to get them both fed lunch when Jen was about 12 and Craig about 7 months old. That meant Jen had finger food and I was feeding Craig peas. He fell asleep in his peas. I told him that often. Then one day I heard him telling the story. He knew he fell asleep in his peas. He added the extra detail that they rolled off his highchair tray and onto the floor.

I asked where he got that idea and he shrugged. I told him they were pureed, ground up mush and not round peas.

Finally feeling like summer here .

Woke up at 4-45 am.  Hungry and thirsty.

Have just had breakfast and stay-alive pills.

Will now read for a while and listen to the birds waking up in the garden.  After that, who knows.  Apparently it's Sunday ;-)
