Junior will do for a while.  Not many people call me Junior.

My old house is still empty, six months after they drove me out.  I was telling this to an old friend, and family joke about me having put a 'warding spel'l on the property just to piss off the housing association.

"I wouldn't put it past you."

"I honestly didn't.

"Maybe subconsciously you did."

I'd like to see a family in there, it was a happy home most of the time.  There must be some good vibes hanging around there

But the housing association need to do something to the back garden if they want a family with kids to move in.  Even if all they did was rotovate some of the lumps out and throw down a bit of turf.   But since they merged to make a bigger group they've spent all their budget on new vans and headed notepaper.

I received headed note paper from book club - states Busy Making S**t Happen. I love it. But can't use it to leave a note on Dad's door...  :-X

Definitely.   It took about two months to stop referring to the old place as home.  Now it's just Number Sixty, part of my history.

For a while the bungalow was 'the new place', then it was 'my new place', then it went through a spell of being referred to by it's number (probably because people kept asking me where it was.   Currently it's 'The bungalow' to me, I've subconsciously dropped the 'mine' because it no longer seems necessary.

It may get a name eventually if something feels right.  The house went through several names, although none of them ever made it onto a nameplate.

I was talking to an old friend, rediscovered after about six years, last night.  He had trouble getting his head around all the changes I told him about.  'But you've always lived there.  That place is a part of my history too.'

My 'walkabout' only took me about 100 yards, but it was time.  Now I have my new base Spring may well have me reaching for my sleeping bag.

Laura

I have no plans to move. Not from my house or here in the winner's seat.
