Don Quit Hotel  A not-very-interesting autobiography (nothing new there, then) by the eponymous Don, who spent the first half of his career buying into the hotel business and the second half selling out.

I used to have a neighbour who insisted that Pirates was pronounced the same as Pilates.  He had a few other strange words as well, but that was his finest offering. Once a month he would go to watch his favourite motorcycle speedway team, The Poole Pirates, and talk about nothing else the next day.

Nice lad though, apart from his vocal oddities.

Pilots of the Caribbean  More really nice lads, but perhaps a bit more laid-back than you'd choose to have driving your aeroplane.  Witness the conversations that take place between Air Traffic Control and the captains approaching Heathrow:

ATC: British Airways Flight 72b, would you please state your height and position?
BAF: Good morning, Heathrow.  We are currently flying at 18,000 feet and vectoring at 120 degrees from your location.

ATC: Aer Lingus Flight 38-and-a-half, would you please state your height and position?
ALF: Top of the morning to yez.  We're a bit under 20,000 feet and off a ways to your left.

ATC: Caribbean HotShots Flight 3, would you please state your height and position?
CHSF: How you doin'?  Not sure how it'll help, but I'm six foot two and sittin' at the front.

Can't resist slotting this flying tale in here.

An Irish airliner comes in to land at Heathrow, but he gets a bit confused and lands across the runway.  But with howling reverse thrust and some heavy braking manages to stop just before he hits the grass.  He gets on the microphone to his shaken passengers.

"Sorry about that , Folks.  Bejasus, this is the shortest runway I've ever seen."

His co-pilot, looking out through the side window chips in, "And all that concrete wasted making it so wide."

Gyppo.

And then there was the British Rail announcement:

"The train now standing at platforms 5, 6, 7 and 8 came in sideways."

Les

Les is a struggling author who someone procures enough money to travel extensively in order to avoid a wedding he could just fail to attend. Les is, of course, a Moor.

The Breeze   An early forerunner of the Health & Safety executive warned Shakespeare that overly exciting his audiences could lead to heart attacks, strokes and premature death, and advised him to tone down "The Tempest" accordingly.

Centuries later, the same organisation was responsible for Agatha Christie's "Feeling Off-Colour on the Nile" and Hammond Innes's "The Uninterrupted Voyage of the Mary Deare".

Another woman's journey through life that doesn't contain all the smarmy self introspection that is more narcissism than insight. It is raw and earthy.

You really should write the one above. The time is right.
