Spell Chick

A portable bubble to contain heat/cold so that one does not suffer one's spouse's temperature requirements.
Imperfect Reason My thoughts, such as they are.

A dog/English dictionary to assist people who think a growl means, "That's lovely - cuddle me some more!"

Gyppo

A wearable force field with an automatic sensor so that any modern idiot who thinks 'a manly hug' is appropriate when they hardly know me will be firmly repelled before they can 'lock on'.

I prefer not to shake hands either, but I've taught myself to tolerate that.  Up to a point  ;-)

You should worry - total strangers think they can kiss you if you're a woman!  But usually only once.  Personally, I don't mind a handshake.  It's once again become quite useful to know the person in front of you isn't holding a knife.

A bib with a chameleon-like ability to mimic the surface behind it, thus protecting one's clothes without advertising to the world that you can't find your face with your fork.

Beware the left-handed knifeman/woman ;-)

If were an octopus that could blend in instead, it would also come with its own attachment assembly.

A device that would move the cursor on any computer if and only if it was wanted to move there by simple eye movement. Look where you want it, blink or something, and the cursor is right in the exact perfect spot.
Imperfect Reason My thoughts, such as they are.

A belt, split at the back to admit extra sections, thus avoiding the tell-tale row of half-used holes at the end which advertise the fact that you're fatter now than six months ago, and fatter then than when you bought the belt.

Spell Chick

Dust repellant furniture. Or self dusting furniture. Either would work.

So does ignoring the stuff.

Genetically modifying cattle, sheep and pigs so that their skeletons turn blue, so that the police don't have to come running every time a dog digs up a bone in a field.

Scratch resistant no-stick pans

An attachment to your car's sat-nav system which, if you phone it, could remind you where you left it this time.

Gyppo

An online pizza delivery site which actually makes sense instead of just being a riot of pictures and 'special offers'.

Like having bloody kaleidoscope soup poured over my screen  ;-(

I was thinking of being lazy this evening, it's been a busy day, but I just said 'sod this' and clicked back out of the smorgasbord of confusion.

I am reminded how a few years back I went into a burger place, hungry enough to be hypo-glycaemic and a bit shaky, poked vainly at the touch-screen ordering terminal, which promised in large print to be quicker than queuing, and felt a restless line building up behind me.  I turned to the couple treading on my heels and said, "If you can understand
this bugger you're welcome to it."

I walked up to the counter, waved a tenner, and asked if I could order the old fashioned way.

"Certainly, Sir."

I walked out with my burger whilst the trendy young things who understood the terminal were still waiting.  They looked at me as if I was some kind of ill-mannered queue jumper  ;-)

Stair-carpet for old people, woven with the words: "Have you got what you need?"

Spell Chick

Yesterday, Dick had the yard aeriated. He is obsessed with a yard that hates him back. He spends hours and dollars on something that I find ridiculous. However, I believe this is the last time we have this service performed for however much it cost.

The guy on the machine cut the underground cable from the box to the house, making us lose internet. They came and fixed it but ... our old equipment wouldn't support the new upgrades and what not and the router would have to be moved and new wire laid and it took a long time, but we finally got our internet back up and running.

I would like a "go back" button for time and be able to cancel the lawn service. However, we talked with the  internet company and should be able to lower our bill considerably. So that was good. But irritant factor!

It's all headed down the Fidium/fiber optic freeway. I've put off the upgrade for as long as I can while they just keep getting more and more persistent about it. I finally marked it on the calendar for the end of the month. I hate setting up appointments with these guys. It ruins a whole day. It's just like the old days with the cable television guy. They'd give you the day of the appointment and that's it, but if you were lucky they might be able to tell you morning or afternoon.

It should be a good upgrade though, and by the way some things work around here I'd say the equipment/devices have evolved beyond the internet connection.
