Hello--

Where to start?

I have a BA in Writing, a cognate in Mathematics and an Associates in Science.

I've worked as a technical writer for one of the top ten largest data processors by invoked lines of code over the last decade. Responses to Requests for Proposals, X12N Supplemental Implementation Guides, detailed technical and business system documentation throughout a project life cycle. ... It's a long list.

How I arrived here is complicated. Over the years many people have said, "You should write a book!" Pfft, who would care? I'm no one.

Apparently I was wrong. Through a combination of fortuitous circumstances an established author joined a closed group of Iditarod/Yukon Quest fans I founded in 2012. We've cyber-known one another for years. I didn't know she was a writer until last week. Because I sometimes enjoy throwing curve balls I gave her the 35k altitude view of my life and she said the same as everyone else.

As it happens I've done some tinkering with the notion on and off throughout the years. I asked if she'd have a look and when she responded with "captivating" I decided to explore the idea further.

Hence my arrival.

I doubt I'll post much, at the outset at least, but I hope to learn much more about self-publishing and other pertinent subjects.

Thanks in advance!

Why can't you support my gibberish? I'd do it if you were stupid.

Hi Mary,

Great to have you here. The more the merrier.

Nothing like a good, old fashioned cliche' to welcome a person to a writer's group. ::) ;)

Hope to see you around often.

Hi, William.

I'm completely confused, which is nothing new but I'm not clear on who is what and who what is, or who's is is what.  :o ;D

You are not alone.  Perhaps William will return and explain things to us ;-)

But probably not.  His Facebook page is an online drugstore, so I suspect this was just a disguised spam message.

William, you have a chance to respond.
