Three things determine whether or not I will join a forum...will the forum want to share my info with other parties (I'm not willing to do that), deciding on a password (a biggy for me) and the focus of the forum.

I've been a writer/author for a long time.  Except for my journal I stopped writing when my husband passed 4 years ago.  He was my cheerleader, editor and muse. I worked some things through and decided to join you all here. 

Glad you did, Crysalis.  Look forward to your input.  Or just join in with the silliness in the word games thread.  Some of us are, or have been, fairly serious writers, others just enjoy words and reading.  Let us know where you slot in.

Thanks for your welcome, Jo.  I'm not into word games.  My first book was about the horror my loving family went through because of the crimes my brother committed. After that I switched to fiction.  As author Anita Clay Kornfeld told me at a writers conference, a person can tell more truth in fiction. This is true.  In fiction no one is likely to sue you.

I read so much while I was writing all my books that I burned myself out on reading in general.  I had always been a reader before.  I have to heal myself enough to care at this point.

I will post more on other threads as soon as I figure out how to do that.  Signing in seems to be a problem  I have to type the same things over and over to be allowed to sign in.

If you're having technical difficulties, have a word with Gyppo - he's my first line of defence.
