As writers we often maintain the childhood tradition of 'imaginary friends'.  Well, that's how it seems to non-writers when our characters also beocome part of our everyday lives.

Here, from 1974, is a song about a young lady who, possibly, took this to a whole new level.

This is storytelling disguised as song ;-)

Spell Chick

I don't know if I have heard that song before. I certainly don't remember it. Creepy no matter what.
Imperfect Reason My thoughts, such as they are.

'It's so nice to be insane, no-one asks you to explain...'

The Horrorzine made my imaginary friend story their editor's pick of the year 2010. In my tale a man thought he had amnesia but he discovered he was a girl's imaginary friend. He had to kill off her new imaginary friends for him to stay 'alive'.

That's dark and twisted, Geoff.  Any chance of you posting a copy, even though we now know the twist.  It would be interesting to see it.
