The signs are good ;-)  Following the latest good result my six-monthly  post-prostate removal 'surveillance' blood tests have now been switched to an annual check.  This is a good sign, considering they were initially monthly, back in 2017,  which made me feel like a damned pincushion, then three monthly, and then six monthly for the last few years.

Excellent news, Gyppo.  The stay-alive pills are doing their job, then.  Couldn't be more pleased.

Each 'all clear so far' lifts the shadow a bit more.

I remember the surgeon saying "We're as certain as we can be we've taken out all the cancerous cells, and several more which were borderline so we had them out as well.  But I do recommend  signing up for the long-term surveillance.  That way if it tries to come back we'll get an early warning and be able to stamp on it straight away.'

I've not regretted it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't five years the big anniversary for these things? - that if you haven't had a recurrence for five years, your risk drops to something like everyone else your age.  Whatever you've been doing, keep doing it - it seems to be working.

That's what the statistics indicate, Jo.  This is one time when I'm happy to fit in with the average ;-)

Good job to your T-cells and internal monitoring system that are keeping you the wonderful alive being you are.

Congratulations on reaching this milestone. It's a good one.
Imperfect Reason My thoughts, such as they are.
