I logged onto the site today, 31/8/26.

initial attempt to log on told me there was an error.  But offered me an option to sign up.  So I clicked that, scrolled down to the bottom of the blurb where it once again offered me a box to 'log on', and this time it let me enter my usual password and I was in.

The site wasn't accessible for me all of yesterday, Gyppo. Guess the hamsters went on strike. Glad negotiations were successful.

We lost it for about 3 days.  No idea what happened.

I love this place. I had to write my own haikus on Facebook.

Yes, I'm here too.

Chick, does Gyppo have your email address?  The three of us could keep it going by email if the site disappeared again.

I wasn't quite reduced to Facebook, but I might be if it was off long enough.

I have Gyppo's only because Linda FireFly sent it to me. But I don't have yours.

ps: another glitch!  Access to your profile is FORBIDDEN!  Not sure if it thinks you're dangerous or I am.  I'll try again later.  Otherwise, Gyppo has it - I can ask him to pass it on.

I thought of getting contact information a few weeks ago and did nothing about it. And then this...

But now, it feels better.

I've just mildly terrified myself by trying to update my email address in my profile, because it was still showing the old one.

Then it flashed red at me and told me I'd have to reactivate my account.

Suddenly it all felt a bit too 'technical', so I just logged out and calmed down a bit.  But I'm back in now so that's okay.

 

I was just up and running as soon as I opened the site.  Didn't want me to log in afresh or anything.  The wonders of modern technology!

After (insert overly dramatic verbiage) agonizing for days, as soon as I clicked on the link, everything worked again, just as usual.

Gave me a bit of a scare. While I'm not actively engaged I still enjoy lurking about

Frank, I think after all this time you are our 'Official Resident Lurker'.  If you want a uniform or other regalia I'm afraid you'll have to arrange that for yourself, but that shouldn't present any logistical problems for a man who anointed himself as Pope Francis a few years back  ;-)

Can I suggest that anyone who wants to keep participating, either actively or as a lurker, leaves an email address with Gyppo?  Then at least we can keep in touch if the site goes AWOL again.  (Hope that's all right with you, Gyppo?)
