Well, that did not work out as intended as far as text presentation goes but the sentiment is the same.

Gotta get back to wrapping.

xoxo,

Leo sounds a bit stubborn but I get the desire to run free. You must be very spry, Jo.

It was hot here again today. The evenings are cooling down nicely though.

There once was a camper from Fillmore
whose tent was exceptionally poor
When rain was a-pelting
her cheap flysheet was melting
so she went to sleep in a store

He entered his bodega one day

I used to relish in the thoughts of, "What could be" when I was a youngster and there was a tornado or any other kind of warning in Texas, for snow in West Virginia, and earthquakes in California. It was all an adventure for me when I was little, but my imagination could scare the crap out of me.

I remember my mother, eight, healthy months pregnant with my baby brother on her hands and knees, my five-year-old sister and I sitting criss-cross-apple-sauce beside her, under the table as winds from a tornado took out our back fence, mangled our swingset, and made our windows breathe deep breaths. We later found out one of our babysitter's trailer was moved a few blocks away from its normal spot and landed on its side. Luckily, the babysitter and her family weren't there when it happened. Strangely, after I had children, the thrill of those possibilities became the fear.

I hope Alma can hang on to her sense of adventure with common sense. :-)

Now that the kids are grown, it's a toss-up but I always worry for their saftey over my facination.

One of the most beautiful songs ever rendered, in my humble opinion.

Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade of Pale, live in Denmark 2006,

This is such a soulful song - almost makes me want to weep, every time.
What I want to know is, why aren't these people up dancing? I wouldn't be able to stop myself.

(This could well be the signature tune of my life.  Despite a couple of well-intentioned attempts to pull in a double harness my true nature always wins out.)

I LOVE this song Gyppo. I had completely forgotten about it. Thank you for bringing her back 'round again. =X
