After many tries, the dealership finally got back to us and we now have the car there being fixed. It was pouring this morning and we got there soon after they opened anyway. That means that my car is near the head of the line. She said it wasn't a difficult fix and they had the stuff already in stock so I should have the car back later today.

She did remind us they are short staffed. I do not understand this. I know there are lots and lots of jobs available and yet we have a higher unemployment rate. I realize this is a skilled job, but really, why don't we have more skilled people? We keep insisting everyone needs a college educations and they don't. But what we really need are people in the trades able to do meaningful work. I sound like Mike Rowe.
