It's so disconcerting for me to hear you tell stories about you being an actual Gypsy. As a professional courtesy, I've always treated you as if you weren't.

Your adversary is far closer to my real life experiences with Gypsies.

Things really are getting back to normal, not only did I have a dentist appointment last week but on the very same day someone rang our doorbell trying to sell us new fascia boards.

TBH, I haven't even been paying attention to what's been coming out for a while but...

Uh... This can't be right, his 3 previous books took over 10 years to come out.

We've been having the absolute best weather here, 15oC and overcast every day this week but completely dry.

Good morning, folks.

I saw this and can't continue to function unless I post it somewhere.

Dogs Run in Packs - Rams Pocket Radio

I've got another suffix to go along with -rage and -wise.

-gate: people will slap this on the end of literally anything negative. The original "-gate" was the leader of one of the most powerful nations in the world committing treason, almost nothing is noteworthy enough to reference it.

Even when the thing is a big deal, adding -gate to it kind of trivialises it and makes what actually happened forgettable. It just becomes Thing-gate and everybody moves on like nothing happened.

Ollie:  I'm not sure it would make my 'word of the day' but thanks anyway.  It sounds more like some Inter-Galactic Warlord.  Vorthos the Violent, Destroyer of Entire Universes. Someone who makes Genghis Khan look like a dreamy pot-smoking hippy.

Geoff:  Even as a 10 year old I'd have frowned upon sharks in a moat.  Unless the castle builder had added a salination plant to the castle design.   Piranhas or giant Pike would have passed my approval though.  (Pedantry, like Communism, either bites early or not at all.)

That's a shame, because not allowing sharks in your moat is exactly the kind of thing that marks you as a Vorthos type.

Wow, that looks fantastic.

The paint job on that keep reminds me of the wooden castle I had, it was made by the same guy who built our dining table. I mean, my castle was the best ever because I put a wrestling ring in it (I am not a Vorthos type), but this one is awesome too.

Yes, I told a story about a completely unrelated castle to make Vorthos your word of the day. Vorthos as related to people who consume media, are the people who are most interested in thematic consistency, lore and historical accuracy. I am not that because I held Wrestlemania in a medieval castle and the Power Rangers (specifically the Blue and Yellow Rangers) won the tag team championships.
