Yesterday I had to take my phone in because it wasn't a phone anymore, it was merely an expensive brick. All it needed was a hard restart, I just didn't know how to do that. Now I do. It was an easy fix.

Last night, a neighbor came to our door to tell us the brake lights on our car were shining brightly in the driveway. The car was not running, just the lights were on. This is apparently a known issue and a recall was sent out. I have no idea how long ago this happened, but the recall was successfully ignored. The only way to get the lights off was to disconnect the battery. So now I have a brick in the driveway. We tried calling the dealership. It happened after closing last night, so we tried online then. We tried calling this morning but no one answers the phone. We tried texting. We tried leaving a message on Facebook (not totally scathing, but listing all the other communication methods already tried). So far, I just have a dead car that is plopped in the driveway, unable to drive it. I'm pretty sure when we do get to take it in, it will be dangerous to drive because the brake lights are always on which sorta makes them useless as indicators of braking. I will drive it and Dick can follow in the real car and try to not rear end me. At least he knows where I'm going.

I have always hated this car. I liked my little car but the transmission kept braking and Ford would no longer support it, so I got this piece of shit to drive instead because the golf clubs fit better in a SUV. Which, you know, is very important to me.

All in all, this is not a good week for products working correctly.
