The 'guest' wifi I've been using has allowed me to
Listen to live ATC while using flight radar to track aircraft...sounds boring, but it's rather interesting...

I tried looking up Heathrow, unfortunately it's illegal for private citizens of the UK to own scanners

Apparently this must be due to WW2

Maybe it's due to the risk of hackers getting into the system and telling pilots to land on Kensington High Street...

But wouldn't that be a sight? We land planes in the Hudson River over here on rare occasions. We tried that in the Potomac River with much less success.

Our local media was gaga over it ;D

Maybe it's due to the risk of hackers getting into the system and telling pilots to land on Kensington High Street...

Anyone with a police scanner can listen in... volunteers from around the world hook these scanners into Liveatc...

Obviously for reasons of security it's highly illegal for us citizens to talk on these frequencies

I doubt if the pun was intentional.

I've just killed off some forum 'Spam' advertising 'Escorts'.

Had to smile a little when I saw they were offering 'widespread' sexual services  ;-)

I wonder if their services are flexible.

40 centimeters of snow expected today(2:09 am)

Looks like a great day to stay inside, unfortunately the dog will have other plans as it's supposed to warm up to -4 centigrade

I've had the lights on for most of the day.  It's not outstandingly dark, but there's enough cloud to make the light which is coming through the windows noticeably 'thin'.  Like one of those inferior led lamps where the light is anything but bright.

Rather appropriate in a way, as I'm 'thinning out' a couple of cupboards which haven't been seriously disturbed since I moved in.

There's an old printer which will be going to recycling, and stuff like that.

I also found 50 , (yes, that's not a typing error,) 3.5" blank floppy discs.  Left over from when I had a little bit of a writer's software business.

=====

Part 2

Too much dust, Man.  My eyes are like those of a Myxxy rabbit and my nose is streaming.  So I took a break, slept for an hour, and had dinner.  Now it's breadmaking time.

Think I'll do the green thing and offer the printer 'free to a good home' on Freecycle for a few days.  It can sit quietly in it's box by the back door for a few days without getting in my way too much.  As far as I recall it was still working, but there were no drivers to let it play nicely with work with Win 10.   After a few years of being a glorious match with Win 7.

There was a way of making it work, but I didn't want the hassle.  Someone else can do the dance of the generic drivers if they have the patience.

We were supposed to get snow. It did get down to 30 degrees, but there was no snow.

This morning it is 25 degrees and we have a layer of frost.
