That seems like the most prudent course of action indeed.

The other students were delighted, although one old lady was a bit disappointed that I'd not punched him.  Another student, who had left on the second week because they couldn't cope with him, came back for the rest of the course once she heard he was gone.  She was a real attribute to the class once she felt it was 'safe to speak'.

I'd have liked that old lady, I'm sure. And such a good thing this other student came back.

My bosses were very opposite from each other (my last job). Neither of them was highly organized. I am. I did not pester them with my need for a controlled environment. I just made my environment controlled. I took on extra jobs to make the office easier for all of us to use. I needed it that way and they liked it.

I worked there for five years and never once said anything about all the little niceties I was doing. I did ask for permission for a couple of the more drastic measures I took. For instance, when I started, there was a filing system for "his" clients before they partnered together, one for "hers", and a final one for theirs. It was so hard for me to file anything because I didn't know which client file system to go to. I wanted them merged. They did, too, but it seemed like too much work. It did take me a week and it was a holy mess, but I got it done and it worked so much nicer.

After I retired, my boss amazingly asked what the hell I had been doing for all those years because things weren't the same without me. I told her that I was anal retentive and/or OCD and just went with it. They should have known that because both of them were amazed when I had brought a printout of what my Meyers Briggs Personality test letters actually meant. It says in there that I'm "highly organized" which is the nice way to say anal retentive.

I went to buy some Chanukkah presents after my singing lesson. Went into a cheap shop, bought sweets and chocolates and decided that should do. I hate shopping.

Yesterday I was in Tech Hell Land, but after a while I worked my way out of it and it all seems to be better now. I hate when my technology doesn't work as advertised. Why does one corrupt file have to cause such chaos?
