Several freeze warning nights in a row. Love it!

Bloody cold. Damn nearly froze my balls off when I "walked" my cousin to the railway station. Lucky for me, on the way back home I was free to wheel like hell, which got me warmed up quite nicely again.

Temp has dropped dramatically and a bit of light and most welcomed rain.

I'm expecting a storm tonight.  Don't know what the weather forecast is saying, but I know what it felt like when I nipped out to the chip shop at about 8 PM.

The sky was black as ink (black ink of course), and the wind through the treetops was blustery and unsettled, but there was a brooding stillness at ground level.  It's a weird combination and it makes my hackles rise.

My hackles are at vertical Gyp. Except when I step outside. Then they're horizontal. It's Blowin a hoolie up in Nottsland.

It's been overcast the last few days but the heat is still there. I am liking the showers we are getting throughout the day and so are the plants.

So many birds coming in the afternoons when we do use the sprinkler. They love their baths and it's playtime for the little ones as well. A pleasant hour watching all their antics. Some like to sit on the clothesline and catch the spray, others run around on the ground under it but the little ones sit in the forget me not shrub and collect the water from the leaves above them.

I was out and about today and it stayed dry.  It was cold, but it was a good bracing cold.  After the sun went down the cold became a bit more vicious.  When I got back home I put the heating on for an extra hour.  Alma showed no desire to go out in the back garden, which is quite unusual.

It's becoming light noticeably earlier in the morning.  Always good to feel that the shortest day is behind us.

It's raining. A constant drizzle that gets you soaked far quicker than you would think.

It bucketed down last night, a wheelbarrow full in fact. It was in the drive from work we had been doing and hadn't tipped it on its side.

Today, 94% humidity with 37' expected. I look like a snow ball of frizz and have decided to just slob it all day and not bother with the outside world.

I love my dehumidifying A/C

Dry and cold(ish).

I suspect my bedroom will be a bit cold tonight, because I had the tumble drier hose hanging out through the window and had forgotten all about it until just now.  It's been open for several hours now ;-)  It hasn't chilled the rest of the bungalow because I shut the door.  Just in case a neighouring cat decided to climb in.

We had rain dump on us this evening. The street out front was a temporary river from curb to curb. We may get our average 18'-22' this year, fingers crossed.

Then, we'll only need 22"  inches spread out evenly to begin to resupply our dry lakes and rivers. Our lakes here are in a sad state. The worst I've seen my entire life.  :'(
