Gray, overcast... sort of rainy. With random patches of snow that refuse to give up their posts  :P

Bright and dry.  No rain so far.  Cold, but not viciously so.

I think our weather has lost interest and gone back to bed ;-)  I may do the same for a while.  Try again later.

A dry, blowy morning here. Perfect washing day. Second load of laundry done and swinging gaily on the line. Now time to start preparing the Christmas feast.

Gunna hit 41 again here today. I'm staying inside with my panting pooches

OH MY:  FF,  my first read of this:  I'm staying inside with my panty hooches.  HAHAHAHAHA Where in the world did that come from? Some dark corner of my mind no doubt.

Damp and grey, with lots of seagulls hanging around on the rooftops opposite.  Usually this means the weather is rough at the coat, about six miles away.

Brother in Law was planning to take his boat out for a fishing trip today.  Off the Isle of Wight if the weather was good, or 'Just up the harbour' if it was a bit too rough off the island.

Sis was planning on having a quiet day after all the rushing around of the last week.  "A chance to catch up on my reading.'   The books have been carefully selected and lined up.  Some not to be read in their entirety, but with favourite passages bookmarked for revisiting.  There's a good chance Hardy's Far from the Madding Crowd will be amongst that bookmarked list.

My great Niece, who is living with them for two years until she finishes college, is away in Serbia with her family.  The first time she's ever flown alone.  (I told her she wouldn't be alone, there was a man at the front aiming the thing, so all she had to do was sit back and watch the world slide by under her feet.  I'm not sure she found it reassuring.)  But she arrived safely and says she quite enjoyed it.

It's their first Christmas in the new house, out in the wilds with a wood-burning range.  (Like a Rayburn, but not.)  My nephew has been chopping wood like a maniac ready for the winter.  He's always wanted a felling axe since he saw mine.  Wonder if he's tried throwing it yet ;-)

I don't know if my nephew will be working.  They own a bar/cafe, but the Serbs still use the Julian calendar so the Christmas rush will be fourteen days later.

All is well.

I've just had the rain lashing hell out of my office window.  Loud enough for about ten minutes to drown out the sound of my music.  It must have been damned near horizontal.  It was running down the window like the way car windows stream when a lorry charges by chucking spray all over you.

Back in the house this was common enough, but here in the bungalow I have overhanging eaves and quite often the rain doesn't even hit the windows at all, and then the double glazing mutes the sound of it bashing on the top of the rainwater butt, or the paving slabs.

It was like the drummers of hell.  Glad I wasn't outdoors in it.

Now it's all quiet again.

Not as exciting here, Gyppo. Just cold and damp and still. Good thing I made hot chocolate.
If I had to live my life again, I'd make the same mistakes, only sooner.

Boxing Day is overcast and cool, like Christmas Day. As with Laura, we didn't have your excitement Gyp.

I would like double glazing in a home. It should work equally as good quelling the force of the heat too shouldn't it?

A bright, still morning here. Heavy clouds atop the mountains, so I'm guessing rain may arrive later.
