The time has come to throw my latest darling out into the big wide world to go and seek its fortune. So I e-mailed the typescript of "China Roses" to my agent this afternoon. Wish it well.

I've been writing ever since I realised I could.

Best wishes to both you and your manuscript. (I realise
manu
script may not be an accurate description in these modern times, but it still
feels
like the right word.)

Here's hoping your agent takes good care of your baby.

Thanks, guys. No one pelting my windows with cheques yet, but at least it arrived safely. About ten minutes
before
my computer died, so if there's someone up there trying to tell me something, presumably it's not to stop writing - at least, not yet.

Good news - publishers pleased, offer made and accepted. No publishing schedule yet, but should be out in the summer sometime.
