Today's workout includes a 20 second static hold from the rack overhead. Easy. I can do that. Unless I'm hurt.

I woke up too early and as I just laid in bed waiting for the alarm to go off, I decided that since my arm hadn't woken me up during the night, it must be healed. So I would be able to do the workout as written.

I got up to go to the bathroom and crawled back into bed, reached behind me to grab the blankets and my arm pinged at me and the burning went up to my shoulder. Hm.... maybe I am not yet healed.

I've been told these boo boos take a long time to heal, but I'm just a bit tired of this already and slightly impatient. Who knew?

'Toughing it out' isn't always the best long-term strategy.  But as long as the joint or muscle can move it's always tempting to tell yourself "It's only pain.  I can handle it."

Happy Saturday, unless you are Firefly, in which case it's probably Thursday or Friday by now.

The first smaller one or the second bigger one?

The biggest quake I've experienced was Richter 4.2 but this is England, in the middle of a tectonic plate. A picture fell off my mantlepiece.

I think they were 6.4 and then a 7.2 but that might not be quite accurate. Luckily, the epicenter was in a rather remote area, but the ground shook for quite some distance outward. It did not reach the east coast.

5.something on the Richter scale. Back in the early nineties. I was asleep, woke up and at first thought my partner was having a seizure. Then I thought it was a very big lorry. I was honestly surprised when I heard in the news that it was an earthquake. I really thought earthquakes should be more spectacular than that.

Just looked it up. It was 5.8, back in 1992. Biggest one in my country since registrations started back in 1904.
