Life before coffee is all uphill. I really need to figure out how to get coffee brought to me the nanosecond I wake up in the morning. This stumbling around making coffee stuff is hard.

You don't have a programmable coffee pot, Patti?

Heaven forbid that we let her have one of those. She'd become such a whirlwind of activity that the universe would collapse in on itself.

Maybe. Then there's always the chance of a power outage at which point those of us who use programmable coffee pots are completely befuddled with having to reprogram.

But she still has to be awake to drink it.  The only way to avoid these hideous moments would be to have some kind of cannula set up with a timed pump to deliver intravenous caffeine perhaps fifteen minutes before waking.  But seeing as Patti suffers from disturbed sleep patterns this might not work too well.

Thanks everyone for helping me make it to being a fool full member. I couldn't have done it without you.

Dan, you're a +1/-1 karma. Is that the same as my +0/-0?

I do have a programmable coffeepot. But I don't have a programmable body. This makes life very complicated.

I think we should make it a goal to hit the karma choices at least ten times per day. Just for the hell of it.

In other words, you can set the coffee pot to wake up on time, but you might not be there to enjoy it.

Can we have smite wars? If your karma goes too low, you reincarnate as a worm.

What makes you think I'm not already a worm?

Smite/Applaud?  What a load of bollocks.  I thought this was a site for writers, not brain-dead button-clickers ;-)  There is already a quick reply option for those terse moments when brill or no are sufficient answer.
