I believe it is fixed, but they had to come back in the evening because the fan part wasn't blowing the cold air thru the ductwork. I hope it is fixed. I got cold last night. I think I might have really slept for hours at a time. I feel a bit more rested now.
The warranty was really worth it on this one. The part, which was $3000, was covered, but so was the labor and we had two guys here for hours the first time and hours the third time and two trucks were here with maybe three people for an hour the second time and just a lone guy here for an hour last night. And we didn't have to pay for any of that. Just the Freon came out of pocket. We did buy seven pounds of the stuff overall, but considering everything else, that was really cheap.
And there was no tax on the Freon so it was $840 total. I assume it is so expensive because it is not to be used all willy nilly and should be used sparingly because it is not all that wonderful for the environment. But I assume that is reflected in the price.
