I do hope they got it fixed today, Spell. It's miserable to go without AC.

I believe it is fixed, but they had to come back in the evening because the fan part wasn't blowing the cold air thru the ductwork. I hope it is fixed. I got cold last night. I think I might have really slept for hours at a time. I feel a bit more rested now.

The warranty was really worth it on this one. The part, which was $3000, was covered, but so was the labor and we had two guys here for hours the first time and hours the third time and two trucks were here with maybe three people for an hour the second time and just a lone guy here for an hour last night. And we didn't have to pay for any of that. Just the Freon came out of pocket. We did buy seven pounds of the stuff overall, but considering everything else, that was really cheap.

And there was no tax on the Freon so it was $840 total. I assume it is so expensive because it is not to be used all willy nilly and should be used sparingly because it is not all that wonderful for the environment. But I assume that is reflected in the price.

The house has been cool for over 24 hours now. The outside has not. So I believe we might be fixed.

Went to the Doctor's yesterday. She loves to try to find new ways for me to die. So tests!!! I think that if she has more codable diagnoses, she can charge more for taking care of me.

Reminds me of the old joke about The Sheepdog Trials.

"Why does nobody ever tell us how many dogs were found guilty?  And what was their punishment?"

I'm going to consider failing them all. It's worked so far.

Pleh... new excerpt!

https://godcomplex.site/Sample_Excerpts_-_Training_Day.html

Why does it take me four times as long to edit as it does to write the rough versions?!  D:

...oh, right, cause I hate editing so much I constantly "take breaks" and I wind up procrastinating my way through it.

It is my least favorite thing about writing.

I think it's mostly the continuity checking and character personality balancing and so forth.

The actual nuts and bolts editing isn't that hard but trying to flesh out the dialogue and pacing and such requires a lot of concentration and pattern tracking.

I also have a nasty habit of overusing some generic words while other more specialized words... mmm, I should practice more consistency to try and confuse the reader less.

Pleh... editors probably don't get enough respect.
