Save the Horses

You could cut the general off,
melt him down,
use him to patch the hole
he left along with
the saddle he rode in on.
After all it wasn't
the horse's fault.

Thank you, Mark,

I posted this poem on "Poetry Circle" and stirred up a hornet's nest. Few reactions to something I've written have surprised me as much.  It was meant to be a little fluff.
