At last. A positive thing has come out of Coronavirus.

It's improved people's manners immeasurably ;-)

Nobody jostled me or tried to push me off the pavement when I when I went to the Co-op earlier.

It's nearly as good as wearing a sword ;-)

Mind you, not many people try to push me aside anyway.  But there was none of the 'thoughtless' shoving.

You can spot the generations as well.  We of the pre-metric era cheerfully stand a mere six feet apart and feel perfectly safe, whereas the moderns want their two metres.

Checking the food cupboard we find some polenta that's just out of date. Instead of having pasta we have our ragu with polenta and remember that although it makes your bloody arm ache to cook it, in fact, it's worth it.

There's a bit left over so I slice it and fry it to have with our cooked brunch this morning.

My son is a wellness coach and has been finding his clients are being forced into cooking. They really don't know how. Apparently Google is overwhelming when it comes up with 4 millions ways to cook broccoli and instead, if they ask him, he is a filter and can give them some hints.

It would be great if people learned to prepare healthy meals at home. This may be a bonus to this mess.

We volunteer at the food bank. We are told to check expiration dates, but the only thing that is forbidden as soon as the date is past is baby food. Everything else has a variety of leeway after the date. Canned meats aren't too much past the date, but some things are a year past the date.

I still trust my sense of smell with things like meat and dairy products.   Mind you, I had some black pudding recently which was only a few days out of date and it looked and smelled okay until I turned it over.  The underside was furry with mould.  It was probably dodgy whilst still within the date.

With mouldy bread I can usually smell it before it's visible.

But if a yoghurt hisses at me when I open the pot it goes straight down the pan.

I cleaned out the freezer and got it nicely sorted.

I had all these Keto/low carb ice creams that simply need to be eaten so I have room for veggies. It's a difficult job, but I will somehow manage.

I've just eaten the last of the icecreams I got in for when Alma visits.  Two cola lollies left now.

It isn't always businesses. Some couple in Canada bought up Clorox wipes and then sold them on eBay, making over $70,000 in profit. Bastards.

But these icy people are being outed to the public and will eventually pay for their crimes.

1 Democrat and 3 Republican Senators sold of millions in stocks (each) as soon as they learned about this virus in a private meeting back in January. That's called insider trading and is illegal. They can look forward to joining Martha Stewart in that particular Hall of Shame.

The bad people have always been out there. We tend to find them and make their lives perfect examples of Karma.
