I'm a bit late to the party, but I brought cake
« on: May 21, 2019, 01:50:23 PM »
It must have been 2010 and 2011 that I was the most active in the other part of town (MWC), only popping in occasionally since then, but after such a long time away, I return to find it looking rather shabby and somewhat shady. Luckily, I followed the trail of breadcrumbs and wound up here. And it's great to see so many familiar faces! Well, names... I see familiar names.

I signed up here with the same username I had over there, as some of you might remember me. But for those who don't, here's a little about me.

My name's Kathleen and I live in New Zealand. Over the intervening years, I've been focused on the kids (and their activities) and on photography more than my writing, so I still haven't published anything. But this is the year that I will do it! I'm planning to set up my own publishing company and publish three books this year - all children's books, one of which is non-fiction. I'll share more details if you're interested.

So... what are you all up to, new friends and old? How's life treating you?

Have a piece of cake and pour yourself a cuppa and give me the low-down.
 :)

Welcome back, Woodie.  You'll find quite a few familiar names here.  Some of us have been a bit knocked around by life since we last met, but we're still here.

Good to see the breadcrumb trail is still working ;-)

Welcome back, Kathleen !

Glad you found us.

We're still here. A little beat up, but with our heads HIGH!

Hi Woody, welcome back! And thanks for the tea and cake. We have a saying in my country that a man's love goes through his stomach. Consider yourself loved.  :-*

Hi Kathleen, your plan to start a company of your own to publish your books sounds really interesting. I hope you put up some info about it. It amazes me how diverse the field is now, and how many paths there are!

Hi Kathleen,

Welcome.

Sorry, I'm late to the party. I don't mind stale cake and cold coffee as long as there is Kahlua.  ;)

Hope to see you around more often.
