Not for a long time.  I didn't fall out with them or anything and they were good at answering questions.  It was pretty straightforward as I recall, but I've heard there's been a few changes since the early days.  I must look into it again, I think they have about eighty pounds of mine sat doing nothing.

May I suggest you do a google or  whatever search for 'how to set up a pay pal account.  That will get you started with the way they do it now.

One tip.  Make sure you hang onto your password.  It really is the key to the whole service.  Write it down somewhere safe, whatever people might tell you to the contrary.

I don't do online transactions without using Paypal, they are brilliant

I can't say I have noticed any hidden fees mate, they are quick to reply to any complaints from my experience

Russ

I assume you mean as a seller?

There are fees, they are not hidden. There are also things in place to stop it being used for money laundering os make sure you understand frequency and size of your transfers of cash out of PayPal into your bank. There are a few understandable security hoos to jump through.

I always use PayPal if it's an option.  I think of them as the honest broker: if something goes wrong with a transaction, I'm dealing with a reputable established concern rather than someone I've never heard of before.  A bit like using your credit card: payments don't just disappear into thin air, there's someone whose job it is to sort it out.  Incidentally, I only buy - I don't sell on-line.

I've used Paypal for both payments and receivables and I've been happy with them.
