Whether publishing your book yourself, signing with a small boutique, going hybrid, or what have you, IBPA has created an industry standard checklist for a professional presentation of a book. If you're familiar with each element or not, it makes for a handy tool.

For folks who haven't done it yet, it's a good checklist. I'm sure they all thank you for the link.

Thanks, Herron.

This is one resource shared during a summit.

The CEO of IBPA spoke on its creation to help people understand professional markers. Also, some award and review programs won't consider self-published/indie works because of so many unprofessional products.

They have started conversations on if everything is done professionally, you should consider it for your program. From an expo last year, they learned none want to discriminate, but a measure to cut through the noise was needed.

Thank you, Wen. Very useful.

Now, I just need to use it. :)
