I've no idea what a ghostwriter costs.  Whatever it is, it's too expensive.  Not because his/her time isn't worth paying for, but because if your story is worth telling, you should learn how to tell it yourself.  It isn't easy.  It takes time to master the skills and techniques.  But it's your story.  Why would you even want someone else to tell it?

I would say this depends on what you want.  If you just want to see a book on sale with your name on the cover it may be worth it.  This does of course beg the question, why would anyone want to known as a writer if they aren't one?

If you really want to tell your own story in your own words, then listen to Jo.  Learn the trade, learn the skills.  If you truly have an interesting story you may be surprised how simply you can tell it and still have it jumping off the bookshelves.

If you just want to know how much a ghost can earn then spend some time on Google, and other search engines.  But be aware that many sites offering ghostwriting services are really just a come-on to get you to sign up for a course on how to become a 'ghost'.
